Student Body

The student body play a vital role in shaping the Philosophy & Computer Science program. They serve as a bridge between students and faculty, ensuring that student perspectives are heard in decision-making processes. If you have any questions regarding the study program, or about Bayreuth in general, you can email the Philosophy and Computer Science student body at pcs-studentbody(at)uni-bayreuth(dot)de.

Current student body:

  • Toprak Dikici
  • Rmsin Romanos
  • Shikhar Yadav

What Does the Student Body Do?

  • Advocacy & Representation: They communicate student concerns, feedback, and suggestions to faculty and program coordinators.
  • Program Development: They contribute to discussions on curriculum improvements and study conditions.
  • Student Support: They assist fellow students with academic or administrative questions and foster a sense of community.
  • Event Organization: They help organize networking events, workshops, and social gatherings.

Election Process

The student body is elected during the general assembly at the beginning of the second term of study. This ensures that all students have had time to familiarize themselves with the program and its structure before taking on the role. Candidates must be formally proposed by their peers, but self-proposals are also possible. All students in the program are encouraged to participate in the election—whether by running for the position or casting their vote.

If you have any questions about becoming a member of the student body or would like to get involved, feel free to reach out!
